Content: Some reflection in regards to what Christian spirituality is in the context of this apprenticeship. Since it isn’t required, if I don’t come up with something relevant, this will be excluded.
Christian Leadership
Dallas Theological Seminary values Christlike leadership that equips others and emphasizes humility with sacrificial service. The seminary is committed to helping leaders develop a biblical philosophy of servant-hearted leadership as defined and modeled by Jesus Christ and other godly individuals depicted in the Scriptures. Such leadership results from the gracious working of God through a person’s experience, training, spiritual gifting, natural talents, and the enablement of God’s Spirit. One of the Christian leadership paradoxes is that the leader is not a boss but a servant – someone who follows the footsteps of Jesus who washed the disciples’ feet (John 13:1-20; 1 Peter 2:21).

Dallas Theological Seminary values contextualized, effective communication of biblical and theological truth by a variety of means for personal and corporate transformation. The seminary’s commitment to the Scriptures leads to a framework of doctrine in which the great fundamentals of the Christian faith are affirmed and expounded. Every Alumni’s ability to study the Scriptures and present biblical truth remains a core distinctive of our graduates. Effective leadership must include a passionate obsession with good communication.
